Nouveauté 2024 : Le système d'alerte aux orages du Golf-Club Crans-Sur-Sierre !

A new storm detection system has been installed on our courses! You may have noticed the recent arrival of an antenna on the Jack Nicklaus course. The Crans-Sur-Sierre Golf Club has implemented a state-of-the-art storm detection system on the Severiano Ballesteros and Jack Nicklaus courses. This system, known for its accuracy, represents a significant addition to the safety of players and staff on the course.
How does it work? As soon as a storm approaches the courses and evacuation to safe areas becomes necessary, the alarms on the Driving Range and the Jack Nicklaus course will emit a continuous sound signal for 25 seconds. It will then be necessary to take shelter! Once conditions are favorable for the game to resume, the system will sound twice for 6 seconds each, indicating that the game can safely continue.
How to stay informed? By downloading the COPTR Connect app and entering the application token: KA5WdzAf, you will be directly connected to the Crans-Sur-Sierre Golf Club's alarm system. You will be informed of each alarm and the duration of the game interruption on your smartphone. You will see these screens on your smartphone:
- The green screen means there is no storm.
- The yellow screen means a storm is near the alarm zone, but the game can continue safely.
- The red screen means a storm is approaching the golf courses and it is necessary to take shelter. A timer indicates the interruption time of the game. Once the interruption is over, the screen will return to green or yellow, and the game can resume. If the screen remains red, the game should not resume. The Crans-Sur-Sierre Golf Club strongly recommends downloading this app.
Where to take shelter? On the Severiano Ballesteros course, shelters are located at:
- The Clubhouse
- Under the balcony of the building at the 6th Tee
- Under the balcony of the building at the 7th Tee
- The Driving Range building
- The golf hotel
- The WC at the 15th Tee
On the Jack Nicklaus course, it is necessary to leave the course and go to a secure location.
Why this new feature? This installation is part of the proactive approach of the Crans-Sur-Sierre Golf Club to ensure a safe and enjoyable playing experience for all its members and visitors. Enjoy the game safely!
